Providing insight into current and future FCoE development
New Fast Lane Workshop for Data Centre Specialists: “Fibre Channel over Ethernet Overview (FCoE)”
Hamburg/Berlin, Germany, 19 April 2010 – Fast Lane, the IT training specialist, has launched a new workshop. Its "Fibre Channel over Ethernet Overview (FCOE)" highlights the specific features of this architecture. Taking into account trends and also with a look at future developments, workshop participants will be provided with a comprehensive insight into the FCoE technology available today, in particular with regard to applications in modern data centres. The intensive training is particularly suitable for data centre architects with responsibility for managing products from the Cisco Nexus family, including the Cisco Nexus 1000, 2000, 5000 and 7000 products.
This training workshop has been designed by Fast Lane and provides a two day look at the fundamental practical details relating to FCoE. For example, the workshop highlights the high availability provided by the Cisco “Fibre Channel Forwarder” (FCF) solution. The topics covered also focus on FCoE design and cost considerations, as well as virtualisation. To conclude, the experts provide a look into the future by summarising the upcoming developments in the field of Fibre Channel over Ethernet.
