New Fast Lane IT Security Training - "IP Security Fundamentals (IPSF)"
Hamburg/Berlin, 26 July 2010 – The IT training specialist Fast Lane has developed a new IT security training: !IT Security Fundamentals (IPSF).This has been specifically designed for network administrators, managers and those responsible for the planning, implementation and performance of data networks. The three-day course provides essential skills and knowledge in IT security.
The training deals with a range of security precautions and their consequences as well as the correct use of encryption methods. During the course, participants will also receive a deeper insight into the motivation and methods of cyber criminals in order to avoid, to the greatest extent possible, ending up in their sights. Also shown are certain types of network-based attacks. The specialists from Fast Lane demonstrate, in the subsequent training sequences, the operational limits of antivirus systems, intrusion detection/ prevention systems and firewalls. The use of new technologies, such as VoIP and smart phones, etc., is also covered, in particular with regard to their potential vulnerabilities.
